Peach, Bourbon and Bacon Baked Beans

🥓INGREDIENTS:

- 2 slices bacon, diced
- 2/3 medium onion, chopped
- 2 15- ounce cans Great Northern beans, drained
- 2/3 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup peach jam
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons bourbon
- 1 1/3 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/3 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

🍳INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2:
cook the diced bacon over medium heat until the fat is rendered, about 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel- lined plate and set aside, reserving the bacon grease in the pot. Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until translucent, about 10 minutes.

Step 3:
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the drained beans, tomato sauce, brown sugar, peach jam, chicken broth, bourbon, dry mustard, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and the reserved bacon. Bring the mixture to a boil. Cover and bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Stir before serving.
