BACON CHEDDAR SCONE

 🥓INGREDIENTS:
- 8 oz. weight Bacon
- 1 ⅓ cups AP flour
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- 1 ⅓ tbsp. bacon grease
- 4 tbsp. cold butter, diced
- 3 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. salt
- ⅓ cup cold heavy cream

 

🍳INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Cook bacon in a pot until crisp, set aside, and cool bacon grease.
Step 2:
Mix flour, baking powder, salt. Add bacon grease, cut in butter. Add cheese and bacon.
Step 3:
Whisk eggs, cream. Mix with flour mixture. Knead dough and roll to 3/4-inch thick.
Step 4:
Cut into triangles. Brush with cream, garnish with cheese and bacon. Bake 25-30 minutes.
